That's a wrap! Another weekend in the books.

Another fun weekend in the Rossi household has come to end. As we see Monday peeking around the corner, I thought it would be fun to give a re-cap on all the action. We started off the weekend by tiring the kids out at their school Fun Run. Gia and her class were the Blue Pop-tarts. They were so cute! They were out of the gates at a dead on sprint... until they quickly learned about endurance is (or lack there of). It was fun to watch how determined they were and how they stuck together and cheered each other on!

Gavin's class was named "Happy Campers". These kids ran their little hearts out too! So much fun to watch the camaraderie and school spirit! Gia finished her race by running 11 laps. I think Gavin could have cared less about how many laps he ran, except for the fact he wanted to beat Gia! I think he succeeded by like 1 or 2 laps!

Later that night, Michael and I attended a house warming party at our friends' in Carlsbad. So much fun! The home is absolutely incredible. Seriously. We spent most of the evening on "one" of the multi-level wrap around decks. We ate some good food and listened to some live music! Michael and I even played a game of pool (as a team of course) and won! Then we battled each other in darts.... I lost, but it was a close game. I was excited to wear my new Frame golden waxed denim pants!

Saturday morning started off a little slow, due to our late night! But we were all excited to watch Gavin's basketball game! After cheering him on, Michael took him straight to baseball practice, while I headed to Gia's first Daisy Scout meeting! We then headed to Trader Joe's to pick up some food for the evening. We hosted Michael's work partner and his kids, along with some other family friends! We had 9 kids and 7 adults in the house! It was like a holiday! Michael grilled some Cardiff Crack (Burgundy Pepper Tri-Tip from Seaside Market in Cardiff by the Sea, CA), I made some veggies, salad, bread, and quinoa salad. We then split up some little cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. I think everyone approved, because it was all gone! Then the kids swam in the hot tub until they were pruned up. They had some much fun hanging out. I just love having so many kids and adults in the house having a good time!

Sunday Funday.... Another busy day! We started out by making our favorite drive up the coast to @bumpcoffee in Cardiff by the Sea, CA. We loooove driving along the coast early in the morning. We get to see the surfers, the beautiful waves and just feel the vibes of the ocean. It is really amazing. Bump Coffee is a great excuse for us to make the morning drive... and as soon as we get the Scout 800 from its refresh, we will be cruising Pacific Coast Hwy in the beautiful machine! We can't wait! Bump is this tiny little coffee shop, open air, serving some incredible pour-over coffee, cold pressed juices, homemade chocolate milk and empanadas. Yum.

We also got to have another favorite this weekend! We loaded up and headed to Del Mar Pizza for some pizza by the beach! A great little local spot with inside and outside seating. It is super common to see people just walk up from the beach with their swimming suits, wet suits, sand in their toes and grab a slice. Unfortunately, we had to sit inside because it was starting to rain. But... I got to enjoy the great photos of the waves they have on the wall! Check out little Livi's sassy little faces! The best is when she got frustrated this weekend and told someone she was going to "organize them!" Those are definitely fighting words!

What a weekend! Now it is time for bed! Well, for the kids at least. It is time for me to finish up some laundry and prepare for the work and school week. I have 1 little sleepy head laying right next to me because he can't seem to fall asleep (oh and now he's hungry again)... uh oh I spoke too soon another one that just woke up, but my little Gia is sound asleep! Sunday nights are always interesting! Well... on to another week!! Lots more stuff to come! We are looking forward to Valentine's Day and The Country Friends Giving Hearts Havana Night on Saturday!
